The Kontorovich-Lebedev transform (\(KL\)-transform) is a potentially useful tool to solve various problems in diffraction theory and electrodynamics. The aim of this paper is to prove a potentially useful \(L^p_\alpha\)-boundedness result for the pseudo-differential operators involving the \(KL\)-transform. Several other related recent investigations, which dealt with the \(KL\)-transform and pseudo-differential operators, are also considered for motivation purposes. This paper is organized as follows: The first section is an introduction and motivation to the subject. The authors give the definitions and standard results of the \(KL\)-transform and pseudo-differential operators. In the second section, an integral representation of the pseudo-differential operators \(A_\alpha\) associated with the class \(H^m\) is given. This integral representation will be shown to be useful in the proof of the main \(L^p_\alpha\)-boundedness result obtained in this paper, which the authors choose to present in the third section. The fourth section deals with some concluding remarks and observations.
