The analysis of the formal power series solutions of the partial differential equations is at present subject of intensive study. One does not pretend convergence of the series in general, nevertheless possible summability is investigated for given directions in the complex spaces. Here the author considers the Goursat problem for a higher-order linear inhomogeneous equation in the bidimensional complex plane. As standard, the growth of the coefficients of the power series is measured in terms of Gevrey classes. The author determines very precisely the Gevrey order of the solutions by using the definition of Newton polygon of \textit{M. Miyake} [J. Math. Soc. Japan 43, No. 2, 305--330 (1991; Zbl 0743.35015)]. Detailed results of summability are also given.
