Let \((X,\mathrm{dist})\) be a compact infinite metric space. In this paper, the almost periodic points of a homeomorphism over \(X\) are studied from a stable set perspective. Precisely, the following is the main result of this exposition. Theorem. Let \(f\) be a homeomorphism of \(X\). Then, one of the following conditions holds: (i) there are positively asymptotic points \(z,w\in X\) such that \(z\) is almost periodic and \(\mathrm{orb}(z)\neq\mathrm{orb}(w)\); (ii) for each \(\varepsilon> 0\) there are \(u,v\in X\) such that \(u\) is almost periodic, \(v\in \Omega(f)\), \(\mathrm{orb}(u)\neq\mathrm{orb}(v)\), and \(\mathrm{dist}(f^i(u),f^i(v))\le \varepsilon\) for all \(i\in Z\).
