Global behavior of a discrete anticompetitive system in the plane (Q2296564)

Summary: The main goal of this paper is to investigate the global asymptotic behavior of the difference system \(x_{n+1} = \gamma_1 y_n /(A_1 + x_n)\), \(y_{n+1} = \beta_2 x_n /(B_2 + y_ n)\), \(n = 0, 1, 2, \dots\) with \(\gamma_1, \beta_2, A_1, B_2 \in(0, \infty)\) and the initial condition \((x_0, y_0) \in [0, \infty) \times [0, \infty)\). We obtain some global attractivity results of this system for different values of the parameters, which answer the open problem proposed in [\textit{E. Camouzis} et al., J. Difference Equ. Appl. 15, No. 3, 303--323 (2009; Zbl 1169.39010)].
