Let \(T_f\) be the Toeplitz operator with symbol \(f\) on \(H^\infty_v\). The authors prove that there is a bounded harmonic function \(f : \mathbb{D} \rightarrow \mathbb{C}\) such that \(T_f\) is not a bounded operator \(H^\infty_v \rightarrow H^\infty_v\) for any weight \(v\) on \(\mathbb{D}\). Let \(v\) satisfy the condition (B) introduced by the second named author [\textit{W. Lusky}, Stud. Math. 175, No. 1, 19--45 (2006; Zbl 1114.46020)]. Then the authors prove that \(M_f\) maps \(h^\infty_v\) into \(H^\infty_v\) and is bounded if and only if \[ \sup_{n \in \mathbb{N}} \int^{2\pi}_0 |(W_n f)(\varphi)|\,d\varphi < \infty .\] Moreover, in this case \(M_f\) is compact if and only if \[ \int^{2\pi}_0 |(W_n f)(\varphi)|\,d\varphi \rightarrow 0 \quad ( n \rightarrow \infty ).\] Let \(a_j \in L^1\), \(j = -n, \dots , n\), be radial functions and define \[ f(z) = \sum^n_{j=-n} a_j (|z|)z^j \quad (z \in \mathbb{D}, \,z \neq 0),\] and \(f_j(z) = a_j(|z|)z^j\). Then the authors prove that the following are equivalent: (i) \(T_f\) is bounded on \(H^\infty_v\). (ii) \(T_{f_j}\) is bounded on \(H^\infty_v\) for all \(j\). (iii) \(T_{a_j}\) are bounded for \(j = -n, \dots , 0\) and \(T_{a_j} \circ (\mathrm {id} - Q_{j-1})\) are bounded on \(H^\infty_v\) for \(j = 1, \dots , n\). (iv) The multipliers \(M_{g_j}\) are bounded on \(H^\infty_v\) for all \(j\), where \[ g_j(\varphi) = \sum^\infty_{k=\max(j,0)} \frac{1}{\Gamma_{2k}}\int^1_0 r^{2k+1} a_j(r) v(r) \,dre^{ik\varphi}. \] Assume that \(v\) is normal. Let \(a_j\) be polynomials in \(r\), hence \(f_j \in L^1\), where \(f_j(z)=a_j(|z|)z^j\), \(j=-n, \dots ,n\). Put \[ f(z) = \sum^n_{k=-n} a_j(|z|)z^j .\] Then \(T_f\) is bounded on \(H^\infty_v\).
