An \textit{M-decomposable set} of \(\mathbb{R}^n\) is defined as the sum of a compact convex set and a closed convex cone; similarly, an \textit{M-polyhedral} set is the sum of a compact convex set and a polyhedral cone. In this paper the author studies the extreme, exposed and asymptotic properties of these kinds of sets. I show a couple of examples. For instance, it is proved that if \(K\subset\mathbb{R}^n\) is a line-free M-decomposable set, then \(K=\operatorname{conv}\bigl(\operatorname{cl}(\operatorname{exp} K\cup\operatorname{expr}K)\bigr)\), where \(\operatorname{exp}\) and \(\operatorname{expr}\) represent, respectively, the set of exposed points and the union of exposed half-lines of \(K\). Another nice result states that an M-decomposable set \(K\subset\mathbb{R}^n\) is M-polyhedral if and only if, given \(r\in\mathbb{N}\), \(1\leq r\leq n-2\), no \(r\)-dimensional plane is asymptotic to \(K\).
