Van Est differentiation and integration (Q2308333)

This paper proves precise results for the Van Est differentiation and integration maps at the level of cochains. Let us recall that Willem Van Est established several key results relating the smooth group cohomology of a Lie group the the cohomology of the associated Lie algebra. Some results can also be generalized to Lie groupoids and Lie algebroids. In this work, the authors revisit the classical Van Est theory using the Perturbation Leamm from homological algebra. Results at the level of cochains are then proved. Moreover, the authors construct homotopy inverses the he Van Est differentiation maps.
