Let \(\Omega\) be a nonempty open bounded subset of \(\mathbb{R}^{n}\) with Lipschitz boundary. For \(p>1\) we consider the minimization problem of the functional \[ \mathcal{E}_{p}(v):=\frac{1}{p}\int_{\Omega }|Dv|^{p}dx\quad \text{subject to } \mathcal{G}_{p}(v):=\frac{1}{p}\int_{\Omega}|v|^{p}dx=1. \] It is well-known that the critical points of the Euler-Lagrange equation of the above variational problem correspond to normalized eigenfunctions (weak solutions) \(u_{k,p}\in W_{0}^{1,p}(\Omega)\) of the \(p\)-Laplace problem \[ -\triangle _{p}u=\lambda |u|^{p-2}u \, \text{ on }\Omega \quad \text{ and }u\mid _{\partial \Omega }=0, \] where \(\triangle _{p}u:=\operatorname{div}(|Du|^{p-2}Du)\), with eigenvalues the corresponding Lagrange multipliers. The perturbed eigenvalue problem \[ -\triangle _{p}u+f(x,u)=\lambda |u|^{p-2}u \, \text{ on }\Omega \text{ and }u\mid_{\partial \Omega }=0, \] has also been studied extensively in the past under suitable assumptions on the perturbed factor \(f\). In this work, the authors consider the perturbed eigenvalue problems for the case \(p=1\) and by means of nonsmooth critical point theory (namely, the notion of weak slope introduced by Di Giorgi), they verify the existence of a sequence of solutions and show that the eigenvalues of the perturbed problem converge to the corresponding eigenvalue of the unperturbed problem as the perturbation becomes small.
