    The author investigates finite Minkowski planes with regard to their automorphism group. Let $G$ be a generator of a Minkowski plane. A $G$-translation is an automorphism of $\mathcal{M}$ that either fixes precisely the points of $G$ or is the identity. With respect to $G$-translations Klein and Kroll obtained six possible types of groups of automorphisms, named A, B, C, D, E and F. The author proves that there do not exist finite Minkowski planes of Klein-Kroll type E and that type F characterizes the known finite Minkowski planes $\mathcal{M}(q,\alpha)$ (non-Miquelian for $\alpha \neq$ identity) among all finite Minkowski planes.
