A space \(X\) is selectively star-ccc (selectively 2-star-ccc) provided for every open cover \(\mathcal U\) of \(X\) and every sequence \(\langle\mathcal A_n\rangle\) of maximal pairwise disjoint open families in \(X\) there is a sequence \(\langle A_n\rangle\) with \(A_n\in\mathcal A_n\) and St\((\cup_{n\in\omega}A_n,\mathcal U_n)=X\) (St\(^2(\cup_{n\in\omega}A_n,\mathcal U_n)=X\)). Examples are presented of Tychonoff (respectively, \(T_4\)), selectively 2-star-ccc spaces that are neither strongly star Lindelöf nor selectively star-ccc, with the latter example requiring \(2^{\omega_0}=2^{\omega_1}\). It is also shown that every open F\(_\sigma\)-subset of a selectively star-ccc space is selectively star-ccc.
