According to \textit{W. Guo} et al. [J. Algebra 315, No. 1, 31--41 (2007; Zbl 1130.20017)], a subgroup \(H\) of a finite group \(G\) is said to be \(G\)-semipermutable in \(G\) if \(H\) has a supplement \(T\) such that \(G=HT\) and for every subgroup \(T_1\) of \(T\), \(HT_1^g=T_1^gH\) for some element \(g\) of \(G\). In this paper, the authors prove the following theorem: A finite group \(G\) is soluble if and only if \(G\) has a soluble maximal subgroup \(M\) such that \(M\) is \(G\)-semipermutable in \(G\) and groups \(A_5\), \(L_2(7)\) and \(L_3(3)\) are not involved in \(G\).
