The Betti Geometric Langlands correspondence was introduced in an earlier joint paper [``Betti geometric Langlands'', Proc. Symp. Pure. Math. 97, No. 2, 3--41 (2018)] by \textit{D. Ben-Zvi} and the first named author of the paper under review. Let \(G\) be a complex reductive group, \(X\) be a connected smooth projective complex curve, and \(E\) be a field of characteristic zero. In [loc. cit.] it was conjectured that there is an equivalence between the dg category of ind-coherent sheaves on \(\text{Loc}_{G^\vee}(X)_E\) with nilpotent singular support (the Galois side), and the dg derived category \(Sh_{\mathcal{N}_G(X)}(\text{Bun}_G(X),E)\) of complexes of \(E\)-modules on \(\text{Bun}_G(X)\) with singular support lying in the global nilpotent cone \(\mathcal{N}_G(X)\) (the automorphic side); moreover this equivalence is compatible with Hecke modifications and parabolic induction. The paper under review proves three main results motivated by this conjecture. The first one proves a strong version of the statement that the Hecke functors on \(Sh(\text{Bun}_G(X),E)\) actually preserves the nilpotent singular support. Via the geometric Satake correspondence [\textit{I. Mirković} and \textit{K. Vilonen}, Ann. Math. (2) 166, No. 1, 95--143 (2007; Zbl 1138.22013)], the second main result provides a Betti spectral action, that is a module structure of \(Sh_{\mathcal{N}_G(X)}(\text{Bun}_G(X),E)\) over the the tensor dg category of perfect complexes on \(\text{Loc}_{G^\vee}(X)_E\). The last one establishes the ``automorphic to Galois'' direction in the Betti Geometric Langlands correspondence. Namely, the authors attach a semisimple \(G^\vee(E)\)-local system over \(X\) to each indecomposable automorphic sheaf. This result is a categorical analog of the main result of \textit{V. Lafforgue} [J. Am. Math. Soc. 31, No. 3, 719--891 (2018; Zbl 1395.14017)], and the authors construct the Betti Langlands parameters using analogs of V. Lafforgue's excursion operators in the Betti setting.
