The authors consider the inhomogeneous biharmonic equation \(\Delta(\Delta f)=g\) in the unit disc \(\mathbb{D}\) of the complex plane and its associated Dirichlet boundary value problem. In analogy to the case of the harmonic problem, they establish a Schwarz type lemma. Then, they derive a Landau-type theorem.
