The paper deals with nonlinear generalized ordinary differential equations of the form \[ x(s)=x(t_0)+\int_{t_0}^s DF(x(\tau),t), \] where the integral on the right-hand side is the Kurzweil integral, and \(F\) and \(x\) take values in a Banach space \(X\). The authors present some sufficient conditions guaranteeing that \(\|x(t)\|\to\infty\) for \(t\to\infty\) (alternatively, if the right-hand side \(F\) is defined only on \(B_c\times[t_0,\infty)\), then the maximal solution is defined only on a bounded time interval). The results are inspired by similar theorems that are available for classical ODEs, see, e.g. Chapter 4 of [\textit{T. A. Burton}, Stability and periodic solutions of ordinary and functional differential equations. Orlando etc.: Academic Press (1985; Zbl 0635.34001)]. After proving the results concerned with generalized ODEs, the authors obtain similar theorems about solutions of measure differential equations and dynamic equations on time scales, which are known to be special cases of generalized ODEs. The final section contains an example and shows that if \(P:[t_0,\infty)\to\mathbb R\) is nondecreasing, left-continuous, and \(\lim_{t\to\infty} P(t)=\infty\), then the generalized exponential function \(e_{\mathrm{d}P}\) satisfies \(\lim_{t\to\infty}e_{\mathrm{d}P}(t,t_0)=\infty\).
