Summary: In [\textit{A. Duane} et al., J. Algebr. Comb. 37, No. 4, 683--715 (2013; Zbl 1268.05228)] the authors introduced a new dinv statistic, denoted ndinv, on the two part case of the shuffle conjecture [\textit{J. Haglund} et al., Duke Math. J. 126, No. 2, 195--232 (2005; Zbl 1069.05077)] in order to prove a compositional refinement. Though in [\textit{A. Hicks} and \textit{Y. Kim}, J. Comb. Theory, Ser. A 120, No. 1, 64--76 (2013; Zbl 1408.05020)] a non-recursive (but algorithmic) definition of ndinv has been given, this statistic still looks a bit unnatural. In this paper we ``unveil the mystery'' around the ndinv, by showing bijectively that the ndinv actually matches the usual dinv statistic in a special case of the generalized Delta conjecture in [\textit{J. Haglund} et al., Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 370, No. 6, 4029--4057 (2018; Zbl 1383.05308)]. Moreover, we give also a non-compositional proof of the ``\textit{ehh}'' case of the shuffle conjecture (after [\textit{A. M. Garsia} et al., J. Comb. Theory, Ser. A 123, 202--238 (2014; Zbl 1281.05127)]) by bijectively proving a relation with the two part case of the Delta conjecture.
