Two new iterative methods for solving monotone and Lipschitz-continuous variational inequality problems are introduced. The first proposed method combines the inertial subgradient extragradient method and the viscosity method. The second proposed iterative method couples the inertial subgradient extragradient method with the Mann type method. Strong convergence theorems for the proposed algorithms under suitable conditions are exposed. The comparisons with Maingé's method and Kraikaew and Saejung's method in the frame of numerical experiments are showing the advantages of the new methods, especially in terms of computational time.
