The chemotaxis system for two species with space- and time-dependent reaction terms of Lotka-Volterra type is considered in bounded domains of \(\mathbb R^n\). First, existence of global-in-time solutions and their boundedness are studied. Then, the authors extend studies on coexistence, persistence vs. extinction of solutions for reaction-diffusion systems to the case with chemotactic interactions.
