Summary: The goal of our paper is to complete some results presented by \textit{M. Craioveanu} et al. [in: Differential geometry and applications. Proceedings of the 7th international conference, DGA 98, and satellite conference of ICM in Berlin, Brno, Czech Republic, August 10--14, 1998. Brno: Masaryk University, 347--353 (1999; Zbl 0937.37007)] concerning the nonlinear stability of the equilibrium states of the car with two trailers' dynamics. In addition, the Lax formulation, numerical integration via Lie-Trotter, and Kahan's integrator for these dynamics are presented.
