This paper establishes a number of properties for representations with minimal support of rational Cherednik algebras and connects them to knot invariants. The first main result asserts that a representation with minimal support is Cohen-Macaulay over \(\mathbb C[\mathfrak h]\) of dimension which is equal to the dimension of the support. The second main result provides a character formula for certain irreducible minimally supported modules in type \(A\). This formula implies an explicit formula for the character of the quasi-spherical part of a module and thus provides a connection to the theory of knot invariants, via colored HOMFLY polynomial of torus knots. As a consequence of the latter, a certain non-negativity result for these HOMFLY polynomials follows. The character formula mentioned above is also used to compute characters of certain equivariant \(D\)-modules on the nilpotent cone of the group \(\mathrm{SL}_m\). The third main result of the paper is a construction of the Koszul-BGG complex for rational Cherednik algebra and calculation of its homology in type \(A\). The last main result of the paper is a symmetry theorem which identifies the quasispherical components of minimally supported representations over the rational Cherednik algebras \(H_{\frac{m}{n}}(S_n)\) and \(H_{\frac{n}{m}}(S_m)\).
