On the construction of band-limited wavelets with the Prouhet-Thue-Morse sequence (Q2343247)

Expanding the domain of containment of the part of the support of the low-pass filter in the interval \([-\pi , \pi)\) and using the Prouhet-Thue-Morse sequence, the authors provide a method of constructing band-limited wavelets. Indeed, it turns out to be a generalization of the construction of Lemarié-Meyer wavelets. To make the presentation of the investigation sharp, a notion termed as `invariant cycle' has been recognized and used. Reviewer's remark: In view of Corollary 7, in Theorem 1, the associated scaling function is also band-limited.
