Let \(M\) be a closed 3-manifold with \(S^2\times\mathbb{R}\)-geometry. The authors determine the possible values of the Nielsen number \(N(f)\) for maps \(f:M\to M\). There are four such manifolds as quotients of \(S^2\times\mathbb{R}\) by the following subgroups of \(\text{Isom}(S^2)\times\text{Isom}(\mathbb{R})\): \(\Gamma_1=\left<\mu\right>\), \(\Gamma_2=\left<\beta\right>\), \(\Gamma_3=\left<\tau,\mu\right>\), \(\Gamma_4=\left<\mu,\alpha\right>\), where \(\mu(x,y)=(x,y+1)\), \(\tau(x,y)=(-x,y)\), \(\nu(x,y)=(x,-y)\), \(\beta=\tau\mu\), \(\alpha=\tau\nu\). In each of these four cases the authors determine the Lefschetz number, the Nielsen number, and the Reidemeister number of \(f\) in terms of the generator of the corresponding \(\Gamma_i\) and a generator of \(\pi_2(M)\).
