This paper studies resonances on a particular class of nontrapping surfaces of revolution with cusps. These surfaces have a cusp end and a conic end, and a singularity at the place where the two ends meet. Using special function theory, the authors give asymptotic formulas for resonances, showing in particular that there is a strip with infinitely many resonances. This is in contrast with the case of smooth nontrapping surfaces with cusps, where [\url{arXiv:1210.7736}] gave a logarithmic resonance free region.
