The author studies relations among covering properties of a space like the Hurewicz property or being a \(\sigma\)-set and several types of convergence of sequences of functions with real values. For instance, he says that a sequence of functions \(\langle f_n:n\in\omega\rangle\) converges \textit{quasi-normally} on \(X\) to \(f:X\to\mathbb R\) if there is a sequence \(\langle\varepsilon_n:n\in\omega\rangle\in(0,1)^\omega\) which converges to \(0\) and such that \((\forall x\in X)(\exists n_0\in\omega)(\forall n\geq n_0)(| f_n(x)-f(x)|<\varepsilon_n)\). In the paper there are many variations of this definition using continuous functions or upper (lower) semicontinuous ones, etc. as well as weakening one of those variations. The most interesting results are for normal or perfectly normal spaces.
