In this work, the authors generalize to Banach spaces some of their results previously obtained in Hilbert spaces [the authors, J. Nonlinear Convex Anal. 15, No. 6, 1087--1103 (2014; Zbl 1318.47076)]. Just to have an idea, for a mapping \(T\) from a subset \(C\) of a Hilbert space \(H\) to itself, a fixed point is some \(z\in C\) such that \(Tx=x\), while an attractive point is some \(z\in H\) such that \(\|Tx-z\|\leq \|x-z\|\) for all \(x\in C\). When the Hilbert space \(H\) is replaced by a Banach space \(E\), an attractive point is some \(z\in E\) such that \(\phi(z,Tx)\leq \phi(z,x)\) for all \(x\in C\) where \(\phi(x,y)=\|x\|^2-2\langle x,Jy\rangle+\|y\|^2\) for all \(x,y\in E\). Here, \(J\) denotes the duality mapping. A fixed/attractive point for a semigroup of mappings is a common fixed/attractive point of all the mappings.
