The Lie group of bisections of a Lie groupoid (Q2351503)

This paper gives a connection between Lie groupoids and infinite-dimensional Lie groups. More precisely, the authors associate to a Lie groupoid its group of bisections. The connection to the algebra of sections of the associated Lie algebroid is also studied. Finally, the authors show that, in general, the groups of bisections are regular in the sense of Milnor.
