Siciak's extremal function is an important tool in the theory of holomorphic functions, in approximation theory, and in potential and pluripotential theory. Given a compact subset \(K\) of \(\mathbb{C}^N\), it is defined by \[ \Phi_K(z) := \sup\Big\{|p(z)|^{1/\mathrm{deg}(p)} : p\in \mathbb{C}[Z] \mathrm{ with }\mathrm{deg}(p) > 0 \mathrm{ and }\|p\|_K \leq 1\Big\} \] for \(z\in \mathbb{C}^N\). It is very hard to compute this function explicitly. The Łojasiewicz-Siciak condition (in short (ŁS) condition) is an estimate of the Siciak extremal function from below in the style of the famous Łojasiewicz inequality in subanalytic geometry: The compact set \(K\) satisfies the (ŁS) condition if there are constants \(\eta, \kappa > 0\) such that \[ \Phi_K(z) \geq 1 + \eta(\mathrm{dist}(z;K))^\kappa \] for all \(z\) with \(\mathrm{dist}(z;K) \leq 1\). This condition has interesting applications on approximation of holomorphic functions on \(K\). In the prequel [Potential Anal. 40, No. 1, 41--56 (2014; Zbl 1286.32016)], the author has established examples in the one-dimensional case in the semialgebraic, resp. o-minimal, setting. In the paper under review, the author gives examples in this setting in the higher-dimensional case. Applications on approximation of holomorphic functions are given.
