The paper deals with a class of Kirchhoff type problems of the type \[ \begin{cases} -\left( a+b\int_\Omega |\nabla u|^2\;dx\right) \Delta u=\lambda u^3+\mu u^{-\gamma} & \text{in} \;\Omega,\\ u>0 & \text{in} \;\Omega,\\ u=0 & \text{on} \;\partial\Omega, \end{cases} \] where \(\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^3\) is a bounded and smooth domain, \(a,b\geq0,\) \(a+b>0,\) and \(\lambda,\mu>0\) are parameters, and \(\gamma\in(0,1).\) By means of variational methods, the authors prove existence and uniqueness results for the above problem. The multiplicity of the positive solutions is studied as well.
