A Walker manifold \((W,q,\mathcal{D})\) is a semi-Riemannian \(n\)-dimensional manifold \((W,q)\) with an \(r\)-dimensional light-like distribution \(\mathcal{D}\) (i.e., \(q\) restricted to \(\mathcal{D}\) is zero) which is parallel with respect to the Levi-Civita connection associated with \(q\). The paper is concerned with the investigation of the harmonicity of some special endomorphisms and semi-Riemannian structures in Walker geometry in four dimensions. The authors first establish a one-to-one correspondence between the class of harmonic Walker metrics, with respect to a given Walker metric, and a certain transformation group. Then, they characterize the harmonicity of the Sasaki, horizontal and vertical lifts of a Walker metric in terms of the harmonicity of the Walker metric on the base manifold. They also deal with the almost hyper-para-Hermitian structure defined by two almost para-complex structures and one almost complex structure, satisfying certain conditions. In this context, they prove that the two almost para-complex structures are harmonic if and only if they are almost para-Kähler, and similarly for the almost complex structure. Moreover, all the three structures are harmonic if and only if the almost hyper-para-Hermitian structure is hyper-para-Kähler. As an application the paper ends with the construction of an example of a mixed 3-structure.
