This paper deals with double Poisson vertex algebras and their role for non-commutative Hamiltonian equations. The authors generalize the theory of double Poisson algebras, developed by Van den Bergh. They first apply the theory of Dirac reduction and obtain compatible non local double Poisson vertex algebra structures. Then, they apply the Lenard-Magri scheme to prove integrability of non-commutative KP and Gelfand-Dickey hierarchies. The integrability of the non-commutative KdV and Boussinesq hierarchies is also proved. Finally, the authors construct the corresponding de Rham complexes.
