In this paper, let \(R\) be a prime ring of characteristic different from 2, let \(Q\) be the right Martindale quotient ring of \(R\), and let \(C\) be the extended centroid of \(R\). Suppose that \(G\) is a nonzero generalized skew derivation of \(R\) and \(f(x_1,\dots,x_n)\) is a non-central multilinear polynomial over \(C\) with n non-commuting variables. Let \(f(R)=\{f(r_1,\dots,r_n):r_i\in R\}\) be the set of all evaluations of \(f(x_1,\dots,x_n)\) in \(R\), while \(A=\{[G(f(r_1,\dots,r_n)),f(r_1,\dots,r_n)]:r_i\in R\}\), and let \(CR(A)\) be the centralizer of \(A\) in \(R\), i.e., \(CR(A)=\{a\in R:[a,x]=0,\text{ for all }x\in A\}\). The authors prove that if \(A\neq (0)\), then \(CR(A)=Z(R)\). In fact, the definition of generalized skew derivation is a unified notion of skew derivation and generalized derivation which are considered as classical additive mappings of non-associative algebras. It has been investigated by many researchers from various viewpoints. The paper is split into three sections. In section two, they focus on studying the case of inner generalized skew derivations, while in the section three, they prove the main result mentioned above, which depends on two previous results: [the second author and \textit{O. M. Di Vincenzo}, Commun. Algebra 40, No. 6, 1918--1932 (2012; Zbl 1258.16043); \textit{V. K. Kharchenko}, Algebra Logika 14, 215--237 (1975; Zbl 0314.16015)]. Generally, this paper presents advanced results on this area of ring theory about generalized skew derivations on multilinear polynomials.
