The Wiener-Ikehara theorem has played a very important role in Tauberian theory. The non-decreasing Tauberian condition in this theorem has recently been relaxed to so-called log-linear slow decrease by \textit{W.-B. Zhang} [Monatsh. Math. 174, No. 4, 627--652 (2014; Zbl 1384.11090)]. In the paper under review, the authors prove that local pseudofunction boundary behavior is able to yield an exact form of the Wiener-Ikehara theorem. They are also able to clarify the connection between local pseudofunction boundary behavior and the exact conditions of Zhang [loc.\,cit.]\ by giving a form of the Wiener-Ikehara theorem.
