      Let \(1\leq r <\infty\), \[ \delta(h,r)f(x)^r= (2\pi)^{-2n} \int_{[-h,h]^n \times [-h,h]^n} |f(x+y) - f(x,z)|^r \, dy \, dz, \qquad x\in \mathbb R^n, \] and \[ \| f \, | l^{0,r}_{pq} \| = \Big\| \Big( \int^\infty_0 \big( \delta (h,r) f \big)^q \frac{dh}{h} \Big)^{1/q} | L_p (\mathbb R^n) \Big\|. \] Let \(W^s_p (\mathbb R^n)\), \(s\in N\), \(1<p<\infty\), be the classical Sobolev spaces. Theorem 1 deals with the limiting embedding \[ W^s_p (\mathbb R^n) \subset l^{0,r}_{q \theta} (\mathbb R^n), \qquad s - \frac{n}{p} + \frac{n}{q} =0, \quad 1<p<q<\infty. \] This assertion is extended in Theorem 2 to corresponding embeddings in rough domains.
