The author gives a short account of the so-called Stadtgottesacker, an old graveyard of the German university town Halle. He reminds of some famous scholars buried there, like \textit{A. H. Francke}, \textit{Ch. Thomasius}, \textit{J. A. Segner}, \textit{E. Heine} and \textit{F. Meyer}. Some biographical dates of the mathematicians among them, Segner, Heine and Meyer, a photograph of each of them as well as of their tombstones are enclosed in the article. Finally the bad state of repair of the graveyard should be mentioned.
