The subvarieties of the variety of distributive \(p\)-algebras form a chain \(B_{-1}\subset B_ 0\subset B_ 1\subset\cdots\). The authors give a natural duality for these varieties; this uses the piggyback method of the first author and \textit{H. Werner} [Universal algebra, Colloq., Szeged 1983, Colloq. Math. Soc. János Bolyai 43, 61-83 (1986; Zbl 0603.08011); Bull. Aust. Math. Soc. 32, 1-32 (1985; Zbl 0609.08004)]. \(P_ n\in B_ n\) is the \(2^ n\) Boolean algebra with a new unit element. The given duality is based on \(P_ n\) considered as a topological relational structure carrying the discrete topology and a set of relations which are (i) the graphs of a generating set for the endomorphism monoid of \(P_ n\) and (ii) a set of subalgebras of \(P^ 2_ n\) in one-to-one correspondence with partitions of the integer \(n\).
