Numerical methods for singular nonlinear Volterra type equations with two point boundary conditions (Q2367579)

The authors combine their methods and results presented in Util. Math. 42, 129-136 (1992; Zbl 0771.65096) for nonlinear second-order Volterra integro-differential equations (VIDE) with smooth kernel and in \textit{L. E. Garey} [Int. J. Comput. Math. 32, No. 3/4, 193-203 (1990; Zbl 0755.65133)] for linear second-order VIDE with weakly singular kernel to obtain analogous convergence results for a direct (product) quadrature method for nonlinear second-order VIDEs with weakly singular kernels and two-point boundary conditions. A numerical example illustrates the theory.
