Stability of Jungck-type iterative procedures (Q2368422)

The stability of Jungck(-Mann) iterative procedure on metric spaces is studied. The main theorems generalize and unify results by \textit{A. M. Harder} and \textit{T. L. Hicks} [Math. Jap. 33, No. 5, 687--692 (1988; Zbl 0655.47046) and ibid. 33, No. 5, 693--706 (1988; Zbl 0655.47045)], and by \textit{B. E. Rhoades} [Indian J. Pure Appl. Math. 21, No. 1, 1--9 (1990; Zbl 0692.54027) and ibid. 24, No. 11, 691--703 (1993; Zbl 0794.54048)].
