A mapping \(\Psi\) from a space of matrices to another space is called rank-one non-increasing if \(\text{ rank}(\Psi(A)) \leq 1\) whenever \(\text{ rank}(A)=1\) and is called a rank-one preserver if \(\Psi\) maps rank-one elements to rank-one elements. \textit{M. Omladič} and \textit{P. Šemrl} [Linear Algebra Appl. 182, 239--256 (1993; Zbl 0803.47026)] characterized surjective additive rank-one preservers on the space \(F(X)\) of all finite rank bounded linear operators on a real or complex Banach space \(X\). \textit{B. Kuzma} [Linear Algebra Appl. 348, 175--187 (2002; Zbl 1037.47024)] generalized the result of Omladič and Šemrl by characterizing rank-one non-inceasing additive mappings on \(F(X)\). Here, a short proof of the Kuzma's result is given in a slightly more general form of the tensor product of a right (\(U\)) and left (\(V\)) vector space over a division ring \(D\). Sufficient and necessary conditions are proved for a mapping \(\Psi : U \otimes V \rightarrow U_1 \otimes V_1\) to be an additive preserver of decomposable tensors.
