The paper is devoted to bifurcation problems of homoclinic loops for higher-dimensional systems. By using linear independent solutions of the linear variational equation along the homoclinic loop as local coordinates to construct the Poincaré map, bifurcations of a twisted homoclinic loop are studied. Under the nonresonant and resonant conditions, the existence, number, and existence regions of a 1-homoclinic loop, 1-periodic orbit, 2-homoclinic loop, 2-periodic orbit, and 2-fold 2-periodic orbit are obtained. The paper also gives asymptotic representations of the related bifurcation surfaces and results on the stability of the homoclinic loop.
