The Cartan-Hartogs domains are defined as follows \[ \begin{aligned} Y_I&:=\{W \in {\mathbb C}^N, Z \in R_I(m,n)\mid | W| ^{2K}< \det (I- Z\overline Z ^t) \} ,\quad K>0,\\ Y_{II}&:=\{W \in {\mathbb C}^N, Z \in R_{II}(p)\mid | W| ^{2K}< \det (I- Z \overline Z ^t) \} , \quad K>0,\\ Y_{III}&:=\{W \in {\mathbb C}^N, Z \in R_{III}(q) \mid | W| ^{2K}< \det (I- Z \overline Z ^t) \} ,\quad K>0,\\ Y_{IV}&:=\{W \in {\mathbb C}^N, Z \in R_{IV}(n) \mid | W| ^{2K}< \det (1- 2Z \overline Z ^t+ | Z \overline Z ^t| ^2) \} ,\quad K>0.\end{aligned} \] The domains \(R_I,\dots ,R_{IV}\) are the classical domains in the sense of L. K. Hua. On these domains the following metric (parametrized by a number \(\lambda >0\)) is introduced: \[ \omega_{G_\lambda} (Y_\nu):= \sum_{i,j=1}^n \left( \log G_{\lambda} )_{z_i\bar z_j}\right) dz_i d \bar z_j ,\quad \nu = I,II,III,IV. \] In case of \(Y_I\), the potential \(G_\lambda\) is defined as \[ G_\lambda = G_\lambda (Z,W) = Y^\lambda \Big[ \det (I- Z \overline Z ^t) \Big] ^{-(m+n+\frac{N}{K})}, \] \[ Y:=(1-X)^{-1},\qquad X:= | W| ^2 \Big[\det(I- Z \overline Z ^t)\Big] ^{-1/K}. \] For \(Y_{II}\): \[ G_\lambda (Z,W) = Y^\lambda \Big[ \det (I- Z \overline Z ^t) \Big] ^{-(p+1+\frac{N}{K})}, \] \[ Y:=(1-X)^{-1},\qquad X:= | W| ^2 \Big[\det(I- Z \overline Z ^t)\Big] ^{-1/K}. \] For \(Y_{III}\): \[ G_\lambda (Z,W) = Y^\lambda \Big[ \det (I- Z \overline Z ^t) \Big] ^{-(q-1+\frac{N}{K})}, \] \[ Y:=(1-X)^{-1},\qquad X:= | W| ^2 \Big[\det(I- Z \overline Z ^t)\Big] ^{-1/K}. \] For \(Y_{IV}\): \[ G_\lambda (Z,W) = Y^\lambda \beta(Z,Z) ^{-(n+\frac{N}{K})}, \] \[ Y:=(1-X)^{-1}, \qquad X:= | W| ^2 \beta (Z,Z) ^{-1/K}, \] where \(\beta(Z,Z) = 1+| Z\overline Z^t| ^2 -2 Z \overline Z^t.\) The first result is, that this new metric \(\omega_{G_\lambda}(Y_\nu)\) is equivalent to the Bergman metric of \(Y_\nu\), for \(\nu= I,II,III,IV\). In a second part it is shown that the Ricci curvature and the holomorphic sectional curvature of this metric is bounded from above and from below by negative constants. Finally, the equivalence of the \(\omega_{G_\lambda}\) metrics to the Kähler-Einstein metric is established by means of the Schwarz lemma of Yau. Here, two metrics \(\omega_1,\omega_2\) on a domain in \({ \mathbb C}^N\) are said to be equivalent, if an estimate of the form \(\frac{1}{C}\omega_2\leq\omega_1\leq C\omega_2\) holds with some universal constant \(C\).
