Denote by \(\text{Ult}(G)\) the set of all nonprincipal ultrafilters on a topological group \(G\) that converge to the identity. If \(\beta G_d\), the Stone-Čech compactification of \(G\) viewed as a discrete semigroup, is equipped with the canonical operation extending that of \(G\), then \(\text{Ult}(G)\) appears as a closed subsemigroup of \(\beta G_d\). The main result of the paper under review proves that for every countable nondiscrete Abelian topological group not containing any open Boolean subgroups, \(\text{Ult}(G)\) has \(2^{\mathfrak{c}}\) minimal right ideals. This is proved by mapping the structural group of the smallest ideal \(K(\mathrm{Ult}(G))\) of \(\mathrm{Ult}(G)\) onto a group compactification of \(\mathbb{Z}\) of cardinality \(2^{\mathfrak{c}}\).
