The authors are interested to study particular inequalities related to the existence of positive entire solutions of suitable PDE's arising from some problems in astro-physical dynamics and important geometric PDE's like the Yamabe equation. More precisely, they prove nondegeneracy of positive entire solutions of the following PDE: \(-\triangle u={{1}\over{|y|}}u^{N/N-2}\), with \(u\) defined on \((y,z)\in{\mathbb R}^k\times{\mathbb R}^h \), \(k,h\in{\mathbb N}\), \(k+h\geq 3\). The main result is that space of solutions of the linearized equation is \((h+1)\)-dimensional. This paper follows the previous one, on the same subject and by the same authors, (Classification of solutions of a critical Hardy-Sobolev operator). After an introduction the paper splits in four more sections (and one appendix). 2. Related geometries and hidden symmetry. 3. Hyperbolic symmetry and nondegeneracy. 4. Perturbations results. 5. Global existence results.
