The authors investigate the effect of the time delay on the stochastic resonance phenomenon in a one-dimensional bistable system, under the simultaneous action of multiplicative and additive white noise and periodic forcing, by using the theory of signal-to-noise ratio. They study both the case in which correlations between multiplicative and additive noise exists, and the case in which they are not correlated. The relationship between the insurgence of stochastic resonance and the dependence of the signal-to-noise ratio on the delay time, the multiplicative noise intensity, and the additive noise intensity is studied in detail.
