A schurian association scheme is an association scheme with respect to the set of cosets of a subgroup \(\Delta\) of a group \(\Gamma\) defined via the partition \( \{ \gamma^{\Delta} \mid \gamma \in \Gamma \} \) with \( \gamma^{\Delta} = \{ ( \beta \Delta, \beta \gamma \Delta ) \mid \beta \in \Gamma \} \). The aim of the paper is to introduce an interesting set of sufficient conditions for an association scheme to be schurian. The condition presented refers to a set of involutions of the scheme (concept defined in the paper), and so can be thought of as an analogue of the exchange condition identifying the Coxeter groups among the class of involution generated groups. Schemes satisfying this condition are therefore named the Coxeter schemes. The condition itself is too complicated for listing here, but appears natural and interesting. The author proves two main theorems concerning Coxeter schemes that involve the use of faithful maps, and derives the result: If \(G\) is a finite Coxeter scheme over a set of involutions \(L\) of size at least \(3\) such that \(T(L) = \{ f \mid f \in L, \; | f^*f | = 1 \} \) is empty, then \(G\) is schurian. The exposition is self-contained and based on a long series of partial results.
