Motivated by earlier investigations by H. M. Srivastava and V. Gupta, the authors consider a family of summation-integral operators defined on the class of all integral functions defined on the real non-negative semiaxis and satisfying a growth condition. For the above operators are established local and global direct results in terms of first and second moduli of smoothness (Theorem 1) and also in terms of Ditzian-Totik moduli of the first order (Theorem 3). Next, the authors estimate the rate of convergence of the sequence of approximants defined by the considered operators for functions with derivatives of bounded variation (Theorem 3).
