In this paper, it is proved that any automorphism of the \(d\)-dimensional dual hyperoval \(T_{\sigma }(V)\) over \(\text{GF}(q)\), always fixes the special member \(X(\infty )\) where \(q=2^{l}\) with \(l\geq 1\) and \(d\geq 2\). Also it is shown that, in case \(V= \text{GF}(q^{d+1})\), two dual hyperovals \(T_{\sigma }(V)\) and \(T_{\tau }(V)\) in \(\text{PG}(2d+1,q)\), where \(\sigma \) and \(\tau \) are generators of the Galois group of \(\text{GF}(q^{d+1})\) over \(\text{GF}(q)\), are isomorphic if and only if \(\sigma =\tau\) or \(\sigma \tau =id\). Therefore it is proved that, even in the case \(q>2\), there exist nonisomorphic \(d\)-dimensional dual hyperovals in \(\text{PG}(2d+1,q)\) for \(d\geq 3\).
