The authors study cluster combinatorics of \(d\)-cluster tilting objects in \(d\)-cluster categories and prove the following main results. Theorem 1. Let \(X\) be a basic rigid object in a \(d\)-cluster category. Then \(X\) is a \(d\)-cluster tilting object if and only if \(X\) is a maximal rigid object if and only if the number of indecomposable direct summands of \(X\) equals the number \(n\) of non-isomorphic simple modules. Theorem 2. Every basic rigid object with \(n-1\) indecomposable summands can be completed to a \(d\)-cluster tilting object in exactly \(d+1\) ways. The authors also obtain a nice description of all possible indecomposable complements from Theorem 2 using the notion of an exchange team and prove that the sets of indecomposable summands of objects appearing in triangles connecting these indecomposable complements are disjoint.
