Ordered topological structures (Q2390522)

Respecting the fundamental adjunction linking order and topology in special cases the author discusses these categories and their functorial interactions in a more general setting. He works in the context of so-called (T,V)-categories or lax (T,V)-algebras respectively with quantale V and a set-monad T suitable extended to the category V-Rel of sets and V-relations. This introductory paper leaves unattended many aspects of ordered topological structures occuring in this context. It is also only briefly indicated how this work provides the basis for a study of sets equipped with a metric and an approach structure that are adequately linked.
