The authors derive an explicit a priori interior Hessian and gradient estimates for special the Lagrangian equations \(\arctan\lambda_1+\arctan\lambda_1=\Theta\) in dimension two. Here \(\lambda_i\) are the eigenvalues of the Hessian \(D^2u\), and \(\Theta\) is constant. The above equation stems from the special Lagrangian geometry, [see, \textit{R. Harvey} and \textit{H. B. Lawson}, Acta Math. 148, 47--157 (1982; Zbl 0584.53021)].
