The Weil-type derivative of order \(\phi(t)\) of function \[ \psi(t) = \sum\limits_{k=0}^{+\infty}\left(a_{k}\cos{\lambda_{k}t} + b_{k}\sin{\lambda_{k}t}\right) \] is defined by formula \[ D^{\phi(t)}_{W}\psi(t) = \sum\limits_{k=0}^{+\infty}\lambda_{k}^{\phi(t)}\left(a_{k}\cos(\lambda_{k}t +\pi\phi(t)/2) + b_{k}\sin(\lambda_{k}t +\pi\phi(t)/2)\right). \] The author considers this operation and its applications in control of distributed systems. In particular, he constructs functions which have not classical derivatives but have continuous Weil-type derivatives.
