Let \(C_w(K)\) (resp., \(C_p(K)\)) be the space of all real-valued continuous functions on a compact set \(K\) endowed with the weak (resp., pointwise) topology. \(C_w(K)\) is not homeomorphic to \(C_p(K)\) provided \(K\) is a metrizable \(C\)-space as was shown in Part I of the paper [\textit{M. Krupski}, Rev. R. Acad. Cienc. Exactas Fís. Nat., Ser. A Mat., RACSAM 110, No. 2, 557--563 (2016; Zbl 1362.54017)]. Partial generalizations of this result are given. If \(K\) is scattered, then the spaces \(C_p(K)\) and \(C_w(K)\) can be topologically distinguished by the Fréchet-Urysohn property or the property (B), namely that \(X\) can be covered by countably many closed nowhere-dense sets \(\{A_n\}\) such that for any compact set \(K\subset X\), there exists \(n\) with \(K\subseteq A_n\). A normal space is strongly countable-dimensional if it can be represented as a countable union of closed finite-dimensional subspaces. The following theorem is proved: Let \(K\) be a compact strongly countable-dimensional space and let \(L\) be a compact space such that \(C_w(L)\) is homeomorphic to \(C_w(M)\times E\) for some uncountable metrizable compact space \(M\) and a topological space \(E\). Then \(C_p(K)\) and \(C_w(L)\) are not homeomorphic.
